Peter Elmas

Owner / Lead Teacher

Peter has been walking the Yogi’s Path for over 20 years – as a student, practitioner, and teacher - and he has a deep passion for this powerful lifestyle. From his first experiences with asana, pranayama, and meditation, he knew that Yoga would be his Way. His main goal in life is to share his passion and this practice that has transformed him profoundly with as many people as he can. Peter considers the practices of Yoga to be medicine and he is a stand for delivering the teachings and practices in a way that is personal and personalized.

Peter’s path has been paved by the grace of his Guru, Ram Dass, to whom he is eternally grateful. Be Here Now, as a book and teaching, is his constant companion. Peter began his yoga journey immersed in both the Ashtanga Vinyasa and Sivananda traditions, where he was first authorized to teach by Swami Govindananda. Peter is primarily a student of the Krishnamacharya yoga lineage and continues to study with his teachers Ryan Leier and Srivatsa Ramaswami.

Cecily began her yoga journey after stumbling across the Jivamukti Yoga Center in New York City while on a break from her Professional Contemporary Dance Career. She has spent the past 20 years exploring different lineages of yoga. She traveled around North America and practiced with many teachers studying and learning styles that grounded and complemented her personal yoga practice on and off the mat. What should students expect from your class? A grounding and uplifting practice that may open the mind and body. Space where you can feel open to doing what you need, from child’s pose to handstands. A close that will have you set intentions to bring into your day that has a lasting impact.
