Meet The Faculty

Peter Elmas

Peter has been walking the Yogi’s Path for over 20 years – as a student, practitioner, and teacher - and he has a deep passion for this powerful lifestyle. From his first experiences with asana, pranayama, and meditation, he knew that Yoga would be his Way. His main goal in life is to share his passion and this practice that has transformed him profoundly with as many people as he can. Peter considers the practices of Yoga to be medicine and he is a stand for delivering the teachings and practices in a way that is personal and personalized.

Cecily Elmas

Cecily began her yoga journey after stumbling across the Jivamukti Yoga Center in New York City while on a break from her Professional Contemporary Dance Career. She has spent the past 20 years exploring different lineages of yoga.

Drawing from her background in coaching, innate intuition, and experience in guiding others, she seamlessly integrates yoga instruction to inspire profound transformation in her teachings.

Malina Dawn

Malina is a queer métis and nehiyaw iskwew (Cree Métis woman) who weaves together, the worlds of indigenous wisdom and yogic knowledge. She is a Yoga teacher, breathwork therapist, writer, drum carrier and song catcher and loves to share ceremony through indigenous traditional and futurism teachings.

She has spent the last 15+ years working with indigenous, non indigenous and LGBTQ2S+ youth. She continues to work with people of all ages and walks of life to guide them to the reclamation of their own culture, identity, body and healing through a strength based trauma informed lens.

She is currently living, learning, unlearning and loving life on the traditional unceded territory of the xwməθkwəyə̓ m (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and s ̱ əl ̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. (Vancouver, BC)

Ryan Leier

Dynamic and inspirational, Ryan Leier brings his unique energy and sacred knowledge to every class he teaches. Whether in his own One Yoga studios or as an ambassador of yoga to communities worldwide, his expression of this ancient yet vital tradition consistently touches people's hearts. Ryan's commitment to honouring his teachers leads him to be equally devoted to continuing his studies as to teaching.

He maintains his ongoing studies with Srivatsa Ramaswami (Vinyasa Krama) and Father Joe Pereira (Iyengar), both by whom he was authorized to teach and both of whom deeply inform his personal practice as well as his independent study of yoga philosophy and traditional Sanskrit Chanting. Ryan also studies with Baron Baptiste, Eddie Modestini, Nicki Doane, and Danny Paradise.

Dani Hebert

Dani has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for more than 10. She is a committed daily practitioner who deeply experiences yoga's power. Buddhism and the holistic and therapeutic nature of yoga inform her personal practice and teaching. She attempts to serve the needs of every student by sharing challenging and nurturing classes and workshops that expand students' understanding of the entire yogic system (as much as she can comprehend it). She has trained in Baptiste Power Yoga with Sherry Zak, traditional Ashtanga Yoga with Manju Jois, Critical Alignment Yoga Therapy with Gert van Leeuwen, countless 100s of hours of study and practice with her partner, Ryan Leier and more.
